- A game promotion is defined under Florida law as 'a contest, game of chance, sweepstakes, or gift enterprise. In connection with and incidental to the sale of consumer products or services, and in which the elements of chance and prize are present.'
- According to sections 849.08 and 849.11 games of chance are illegal in Florida. Here’s what they say: “849.08Gambling. – Whoever plays or engages in any game at cards, keno, roulette, faro or other game of chance, at any place, by any device whatever, for money or other thing of value, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of the second degree.
